Eve Lily Charity Wedding Catwalk Show

I’m really excited to write this blog post for you as it’s about a recent and very successful charity event that we held earlier this month at the gorgeous City Rooms. It seems like a life time ago now, after a number of sleeps to recover I have some lovely coverage for you to cast your eyes over. I hope you can see what a great event it was. Thank you to all our guests who came and supported us and helped achieve a wonderful atmosphere for everyone involved.

So to the event, this was in aid of a very special girl and an amazing charity, which we raised a wonderful amount of money for.

Isla, as some of you will know, is currently suffering from Leukemia and undergoing treatment with the support of her family. Isla is only little, a gorgeous character with a beautiful cheeky smile and strong personality, I can only imagine this is how she and her family get through this tough time.

Isla and her mummy being entertained on the night by the wonderful magician The Trixta

Now everyone loves the idea of a magician right? Well I have seen The Trixta in action (although not on this night, which was a real shame) and he is fantastic, a real showman and certainly entertained our guests brilliantly, thank you Ash.

The Vernon Sisters provided us with wonderful entertainment for the opening of the event and were fabulous!

Our event started with a bang with the fantastic Vernon Sisters who offered their services to help us achieve such a wonderful entertaining evening for everyone who came, I can’t tell you how brilliant they were, I wanted to watch them all night but had to work so only caught moments of their performance.

After shouting about it all over face book and twitter before hand I’m sure many of you were aware it was happening. If you missed it then you must make the next one as we covered so many different areas of wedding fashion that meant the catwalk went on and on… in a good way of course!

CATWALK, CATWALK, CATWALK! We had a great team of people helping our hair and make up stylists, they did a fantastic job and really made our models look beautiful, heading up those teams were the fantastic A Team who we work with on many occasions, the lovely Beth from Bettie Lottie Make Up and Tina from The Progressive Hair Company. Thank you girls, you and your team did great! x

So here is the first set of the catwalk show…

Our fantastic Mother of the Bride models, to say our ladies did a great job and looked gorgeous was an understatement. This is about the right time to let you know that all of our models supported us out of kindness for such a great cause, some had never even modelled before, so we really wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for doing such an amazing job on the night!

The stunning dresses supplied by the lovely local supplier, Impeys of Leicester, really do have a wonderful selection of mother of the bride and plenty of accessories to match. Here come the ladies x

Then came our handsome boys in men’s daywear supplied by Christopher Scotney in Leicester.

And our gorgeous girls in Two Birds Bridemaid dresses kindly supplied by the stunning Giling & White Bridal Boutique they really did look pretty coming down the catwalk.

We just loved the colours and how many different ways you can tie them! You can have a different way for every bridesmaid. x

I can honestly say that I really loved how we included so many dresses and beautiful gowns for day and evening wear, these were supplied by the wonderful Divine Boutique located in the recently refurbished Silver Arcade in Leicester. To say they are WOW dresses is an understatement, every girl should pay them a visit. Accompanying our lovely ladies were our male models showing off some classic tailored men’s daywear and evening wear, everyone loves a tux right? Well boy’s you can find all you need at the fantastic Christopher Scotney in Leicester, they really will suit you out with class and style, and very competitive too.

After the first set of the catwalk we had the fabulous Kit Mason Trio perform for our guests, they really are worth a listen as what they do is perfect for any event or wedding. I am really pleased they perform at our shows as I can’t speak highly enough about them, our guests always enjoy what they do.

During the interval there was a lot of running around by my lovely team with our guests being entertained throughout, plus a lot of munching on gorgeous truffles kindly donated by the fab Melody Cakes for our guests, a big thank you Melody, everyone loved them.

Our next set started with some gorgeous, stunning and affordable dresses by the lovely Bradgate Brides Bridal Boutique they looked totally beautiful on our models whilst they glided down the catwalk and were accessorised with head pieces and veils supplied from their boutique.

Then came the boys! This time in beautifully tailored Groomswear with a touch of class, again provided by the wonderful Christopher Scotney in Leicester.

Leicester really does have a great choice of suits.

Our next bridesmaids came down in dresses available from Divine Boutique again showing what lovely dresses they stock. A little birdy tells me that they make many of them themselves, how much choice ladies!

So to close the show we had the final group of wedding gowns, these are just stunningly beautiful and available from the lovely Giling and White Bridal Boutique. I have a very special favourite and it really does stand out on the catwalk, although there is such a choice that there is something for everyone.

Giling and White’s gowns were accessorised with stunning head pieces hand made by the wonderful and very talented Klaire Van Elton, ladies these really are stunning head pieces that must be viewed and you can even have bespoke pieces made. We love them!

The evening was a total success and all for a great cause so it really was a wonderful experience. We have had some great support from our fantastic suppliers that joined us on the night and helped us to make it all happen. I would like to say a special thank you to Paul Martyn who is our resident DJ when it comes to our catwalk shows, he is a true professional and we couldn’t do it without him, he plays the saxophone and sings too!

After our guests dug deep, the prize draw started with a little help from Rebecca and Paul. Thanks guys. x

Some of our lucky guests winning the lovely prizes on the evening.

We are happy to be able to offer a little support from this event in the form of £200 along with a lovely gift of a day out at a local adventure park kindly donated by Twinlakes Theme Park. This is all due to the lovely generosity from our great suppliers and friends who donated a prize, thank you so much and to our lovely guests who purchased the tickets to raise this money. We hope you enjoy your gift Isla and have a great time at Twinlakes!

Our ticket sales money is being donated to the great charity that is Wishes4Kids and is a great cause for our Leicestershire children. We really appreciate all the support that helped us to be able to donate £400 on behalf of Eve Lily and the show. We will continue to support this fabulous charity in the future.

I would like to say a big thank you to Sarah Salotti Photography, who covered our event through some beautiful pictures of our models and performers and as always helps us to bring our shows to life. We love them Sarah xx
