A year ago I came up with an idea of creating an Easter inspired photo shoot, so that I could create some lovely inspiration for our spring brides. We were lucky to be involved in a fabulous wedding fayre at Keythorpe Manor around that time which was the perfect location for our shoot, and it was hosted by our great friends at Save The Date Magazine.
This beautiful photo shoot which was all about spring and nature in a stunning location couldn’t have gone any better…. Here are a few pictures to get us started.
My brief was simple…. Springtime, Easter, Furry friends and colours which are not typical of springtime and texture. Wood, lace, feathers and eggs of course! I wanted to show that you can use different colours, tones and textures if you think out the box because they really work. I really love all the spring colours that are around at this time of year but you can still create a great style using alternatives. Take a peek and let me know what you think.
We had a great team as always, collaborating with such highly talented individuals makes it a joy but also brings something new each time. We are all usually all on the same page too which helps.
Many won’t know that we had a lovely duck called Harriet, kindly lent to me by a good friend, two cute little rabbits Fudge and Snoopy, I really wanted a pony…… No Pony! But…
Then as all good things in life, fate happened. Keythorpe Manor have their own beautiful resident deer, called Faline, she was truly stunning and here are the pictures to prove it. We couldn’t of finished off the shoot any better than this and it made the front cover of Save The Date Magazine as well!
And so when thinking about how to style your spring wedding style, maybe have a little fun when picking colours and accessories as it really helps make it stand out from the rest.
The textures really do stand out and are the perfect base for a pop of colour in the flowers, using rustic inspired springtime seasonal flowers allows for a completely alternative wedding look.
And of course all this would not be possible without the right team, Sarah Salotti Photography who managed to capture every element of the shoot with so much creativity it really shows, plus we were on a tight schedule with the light, so how we pulled it all off is down to her!
A great team of suppliers and must see’s when it comes to weddings in the East Midlands.
