A year ago I came up with an idea of creating an Easter inspired photo shoot, so that I could create some lovely inspiration for our spring brides. We were lucky to be involved in a fabulous wedding fayre at Keythorpe Manor around that time which was the perfect location for our shoot, and it was hosted by our great friends at Save The Date Magazine.
This beautiful photo shoot which was all about spring and nature in a stunning location couldn’t have gone any better…. Here are a few pictures to get us started.
My brief was simple…. Springtime, Easter, Furry friends and colours which are not typical of springtime and texture. Wood, lace, feathers and eggs of course! I wanted to show that you can use different colours, tones and textures if you think out the box because they really work. I really love all the spring colours that are around at this time of year but you can still create a great style using alternatives. Take a peek and let me know what you think.

Last year we were asked to take part in a photo shoot for the stunningly beautiful Belvoir Castle. Obviously it was a very quick answer… YES of course, not only did we just have to work at the beautiful castle but we also had the amazing Rachael Connerton Photography to capture it all and some of the best suppliers around.
The magnificent Belvoir Castle are now offering their stunning lakeside marquee for wedding guests, giving you the unique opportunity to create your very own day, your way. Surrounded by a landscape of trees and open countryside, with a dramatic view of the Castle on the skyline.
Festivals are a great theme and style when you fancy a relaxed fun idea for your wedding style and so after some planning it started to come together. The idea was simple, bright, festival inspired fun. Here is the end result.
My ideas for styling were very simple, bright colours, large flower heads such as sunflowers, gerbera’s, dahlia’s and stocks along side some lovely seasonal wild editions. Ribbon detailing to work along with the festival inspired wedding look and coloured glass with simple table detailing.
Billy ball flowers (the mustard yellow balls) are my absolute favourite!
Make a statement on your place settings by using extra decoration for your napkins, not only will it make them stand out, it will level out the table decoration rather than it all being in the centre of the table. We love the festival ticket inspired place names that Nikki from Tickled Pink designed for us.
Extra table decorations of the fruity kind!
So the sun is shining, it’s Friday and looks like we are set for a lovely weekend of weather which is great as it just so happens that its my birthday on Monday. I’m excited to have a girlie weekend away in the sun in a rare weekend off.

I do love what I do and the reason I do it, so thought it was about time that I shared something very special (well it is for me anyway!) I have a lot of friends in this industry and we all know how hard it can be at times, there is someone very special to me that keeps me going and makes me smile even more when they tell me how much they love something I have made, or styled, that would be Eve, well actually Eve Lily.
At the start of the year I decided to do a photo shoot of me and my daughter in a little tongue in cheek Audrey style. This was supposed to be a 30 minute mini shoot, so I could involve Eve in what I do and show what Eve Lily is all about at the same time. This didn’t quite pan out as Eve as always just got into the spirit of things and took over, with a little encouragement from Sarah and so the timings went to pot. It was such a fun shoot and we really did get in the spirit of it all.
